Teaser Storyline for Horror Castle


Mary, the young American wife of a German nobleman, MAX HUNTER, arrives for the first time on the Rhine at the ancestral castle of her husband.

On the same night of her arrival she faints while discovering the mutilated body of a young girl, brutally murdered with the old torture instrument called "THE VIRGIN OF NUREMBERG".

When she regains consciousness, her husband (who has never been so cold towards her) Martha the old housekeeper, Fritz the ambiguous major-domo and Erich the guardian of the castle's museum, try to convince her that it was only her imagination.

Mary is terrorized and now lives in an atmosphere of nightmare.

A second murder: once again a young and unknown woman is horribly tortured; the spectral appearance of a masked being in a strange dress who calls himself "The Executioner"; the hateful doubt that her husband is mixed up in all these murders all reflect negatively on the nerves of Mary.

A third murder (Fritz the major-domo) and then a fourth (Martha) reduce Mary to a state of near madness. The unexpected help of the family doctor and of Selby (a F.B.I. agent) who are watching the castle makes Mary understand that her convictions were right. Finally, during a terrible night, Mary finds the answer to all her questions, but not before exposing herself to become another victim of the homicidal madness of the mysterious being with the scarlet cloak called "The Executioner".
