Fanny Hill: Lady Chatterly

1960

"Two notorious stories become a sensational motion picture"

Most notorious women in history started in obscurity and through fate or circumstance became well known. This was true of Fanny Hill, a fresh young girl from the country until she met Lady Chatterly.

Lady Chatterly, a well-known courtesan of her time, kept a country castle for the benefit of London royalty. They used it as a meeting place and a location for their wild orgies. Lady Chatterly was well compensated for acting as hostess. When Fanny Hill came to work for her she was a naive but willing young girl. But it didn't take her long to lose her virtue. Lady Chatterly was planning a gigantic masquerade ball in honor of a wealthy American tobacco planter who in trade for an introduction to an Hungarian Princess was going to give Lady Chatterly and her agent the Duke ten thousand acres of rich Virginia farm land. Hours before the ball was to take place the Princess sent a message that she was unable to

come. Not wanting to lose the farm land Lady Chatterly substituted her serving maid, Fan fly.

Peter, the stable boy, who had been the first to take Fanny's virginity was now unable to continue his affair with the young girl because of her closer association with her mistress. So, when he accidentally met the American in a local tavern he divulged the hoax. The American was furious but quickly retaliated by coaching Peter to act the part of an American.

Armed with a phony deed and well disguised, Peter attended the masquerade ball and after a night of revelry with his bogus Princess took her off to London on the money the American had given him. Thus starting Fanny on her infamous road.
